By using EC smart glass, solar heat ingress into the interior can be effectively reduced, lowering the reliance on air conditioning and reducing the need for internal shading systems. The intelligent adjustment of incoming light creates a visually and physically comfortable environment, contributing to energy-efficient and environmentally friendly buildings.
For instance, assuming a building with 100,000 square meters of glass in an area with high temperatures for six months of the year, it could save approximately 1.2 million kWh of electricity, reduce carbon emissions by about 684 tons, and save around 148 tons of standard coal. If EC smart glass is widely applied in buildings, the number of green buildings will increase significantly, thereby helping to promote sustainable social development.
